Isabelle's Christmas book swap

Isabelle was lucky enough to be part of "Mommy Holly
Christmas book swap" for kids this year. Today she received
her package from her new friend. She was sooo excited!
Isabelle received a great book on tape / CD with paint and
paper. Plus a super neat ornament for the tree! Thank you
so much! What a fun swap Holly put together...thanks Holly!

Sending some cheer

Adelina and Isabelle participated in the Mommy Holly
Christmas book swap for kids this year. You get assigned a
"friend" to swap a holiday package with. Adelina's package
arrived last week, but I didn't think to take pictures. But
boy oh boy did she love it! Her favorite part was an
adorable, small ceramic holiday tea cup - soooo cute! We
hope Andrew (her new friend) enjoyed his package!

Pizza and trains

Every year on Dec 8th we go for pizza and to see the holiday
train display with the Lowry's. This year was no different.
We welcomed Joseph, Goo, and Yesica to the fun this year.

Breakfast with Santa

Merry Christmas! Today we did breakfast with Santa at St.
Anthony's in Port Reading. The kids had a blast and, like
Adelina said, "boy, there were more people there than just
Santa!". Kids met Rudolf, Elmo, Tiger, Mickey Mouse,
Minnie, and many more. Really cute morning for them!
Joseph officially met Santa for the first time and was a
hit - everyone loved watching him on Santa's lap and Joseph
was doing his big belly laugh. So cute!!! The rest of the

Dinner at Famous Dave's - $100, Dinner for Student of the Month - $0, Seeing your 3 year old proud of herself - Priceless.

I've probably never seen Isabelle so proud. No, I've
definitely never seen her so proud of herself. On the ride
home she had a ball orchestrating her counting to 3 and all
of us yelling "Congratulations Isabelle!". It was cute the
first 5 or 6 times, then it gave me a headache :)

Happy Thursday

Hi there. I was gently reminded that I hadn't blogged or
posted photos in 4 long days - which is probably a record
for me. So Happy Thursday! Its been a long week so far but
I'm looking forward to TGIF. This upcoming weekend is jam
packed, like usual. The kids are having breakfast with
Santa on Saturday AM and then we have a cocktail / holiday
party Saturday night. Sunday afternoon some family are
coming over for a bday dinner for me. Personally, I just
want to rest and sleep in but I don't think that is anywhere
on the schedule :) Pics with Santa will be up this weekend.
Hope you are all getting your decorating and holiday

Christmas Anyone?

It snuck up on us! It is time for Christmas! Spent today
(the Friday after Christmas) starting our decorating. This
year I got smart. I got the kids their own smaller tree to
hang all of their school made ornaments, colorful lights,
tinsel, etc. All of the things I wouldn't allow in my
living room - ha ha ha! They had a ball decorating it.
Even found them a Cinderella tree topper last year. Looks
adorable!

Tomorrow is the day...

Tomorrow is the day that I have heard about for 10 long
days. Geneen and Grant return from paradise. You would
think it was a personal punishment against Adelina the way
she carries on about them being gone. She cried about it at
least once a day and even had a time-out or two because of
it. All of that and she still talked to them almost every
day! Geez! Well, the agony will be over tomorrow. They
land around 11am and she is armed with crafts to give them.
She is more excited than anyone else I think. With Geneen
moving, Stafford Road will never be the same - ha ha ha!
Adelina actually asked tonight "Do you think Aunt Geneen
will let me live with her at the townhouse?" Doubtful, very
doubtful.

No place like home...

Great Wolf Lodge was a lot of fun. Adelina and Isabelle did great on the slides and really loved it. They also loved story time in the lobby and asked if they could go again this morning - hahaha. But there's no place like home - my home bed that is. Isabelle proved why she still sleeps alone in a crib. It was torture between 2-6am but we forgot all about it and pretty muched opened the water park this morning bright and early. Now we are packed and heading home. School tomorrow. Pics will be posted later.

Dinner out?

Great Wolf was great until Adelina scraped her knee then all fun times were over. She wanted to leave immediately - she's so stubborn! Where does she get that from? Ha ha ha! We are now waitng in the lobby and meeting friends for dinner. Is going out to dinner with 4 tired kids a good idea? TBD.
