Happy October

Still can't believe it is October tomorrow, but the calendar
doesn't fib. WOW! October! Tonight Joe and the girls put
out a few new Halloween decorations for this year - light up
pumpkins. I wasn't into them at first but the kids love
them and they do look pretty cute from the street. Happy
October!

PS - It may be October but it felt like December! The girls
wore winter coats and scarves to decorate - brrrr!

Isabelle speak

I know the day will come when I cannot remember the super
funny "Isabelle speak" that cracks us all up. So here is
today's dosage so I can always look back and giggle. The
subject is upcoming Schiffl Baby #3.

Isabelle: Is Aunt Patti getting that new baby in October?

Lisajoy: Not October, their baby is coming in March.

Isabelle: Why in the March?

Lisajoy: Well, that's when the baby will be big and strong
and ready to come live in their house with Sam and RJ.

Isabelle: Why? If hims come in October hims would be too
boring for RJ to play with?

Lisajoy: (I laugh) Well, not boring, but it wouldn't be
strong and healthy like new babies should be. It would be
too little.

Isabelle: I thinks hims should just come out in October
with our baby. You know (hands out to the sides), Aunt
Patti can make sure hims eats hims fruits and vegetables to
make sure hims grows nice and strong. Cuz mom, if you don't
eat your fruits and vegetables you are just boring.

Apple Picking at Von Thun Farms

What a beautiful September day! This morning was a little
cool but after a few hours the sun was warm and the kids
were having a ball running around Von Thun Farms. We
thought we were there for apple picking but the kids had
some other ideas first. Tricycle races through a straw
maze, corn maze, fun with Sparky the fire dog, bounce house,
pony rides, and then... last but not least... apple picking!

Isabelle and Baby Tiger in their Big Girl Bed

Isabelle graduated to a big girl bed tonight - sorry, I
should say Isabelle and Baby Tiger! She was so excited!
Even let her pick new Dora bedding for the big night. She
made such an event of it for Baby Tiger - any time I
mentioned it was her bed, she said it was his too. He had
to be in all of the pictures, and she even took the camera
and took a few of Baby Tiger by himself. Hopefully the
novelty lasts at least a few days.

Football and some "bump, bump"

Adelina was lucky enough to have Mom-Mom, Aunt Geneen, and
all of the D'Alessios come to her football game today. The
weather was great, and everyone had a great time! After the
game we grabbed lunch with the Schiffls and then all went
back to the D'Alessios for some trampoline fun - or "bump,
bump" as Joseph liked to call it. All pics posted left

Fall Clean Up

We spent the entire day outside cleaning the garage. While
Joe moved everything out, around, and then back in, the kids
touched everything - literally! First, Adelina was roller
blading with a scarf on, then J5 and Isabelle were having
quad races around the house, next Adelina played taxi in a
kiddie car meant for a 1 year old and peddled along like
Fred Flintstone, Isabelle got a hold of my favorite leaf
blower, J5 rode a bike with a purple basket, Isabelle
snowboarded on the front lawn, Isabelle and J5 played
t-ball, all 3 jumped in the Jumper, and lastly Adelina
dressed up like a ninja snowboarder. All pics posted under
"2009 Summer". Fun day and mission accomplished - garage
clean!

Little Surfer Girls

Today the girls were fortunate enough to get the opportunity
to surf (yes, actually surf) as part of the Surfer's for
Healing surf camp http://www.surfershealing.org. This was

Here comes the bus!

Finally after several attempts, Adelina got on a school bus!
She was so excited, but she made me feel like I had a
teenage daughter already. Adelina did not want us to walk
her to the bus and when I explained I wanted a picture of
her getting on the bus for her first time she told me to
stand on our front steps and use the zoom on my camera. Oh
boy! I am going to be in trouble in a few years.

The sweetest part of the morning was once Adelina was on the
bus and pulling away Isabelle started hysterical crying.
She couldn't breathe or talk. When Isabelle finally came
around, and she told us what was wrong she said that she
missed her sister and didn't want to ever watch her leave
again!

Joseph was loving be with us all and once he got the hang of
"say cheese" he wouldn't stop! I put down the camera inside
the house and he pointed to it over and over again saying
"cheese".

Adelina's 1st Football Game

Today was Adelina's 1st football game. She is a
cheerleader for the St. Cecelia's Golden Knights. Adelina
had a GREAT time at the game. Even though it was unusually
hot, she had so much fun!

Adelina's 1st Day of Kindergarten

Today Adelina started Kindergarten at St. Cecelia's. Didn't

Isabelle's 1st Day of School

Isabelle started school today. She is in Pre-K 4 at Lynn
Crest in the AM, and then Alphabet Academy in the PM. She
is so excited about going on the bus again and going back to
Alphabet!

Getting into the swing of things... literally

This is a big week. Lots of firsts! We need to get back
into a routine and the "swing of things"... literally
meaning gymnastics. Girls started a new gym - AGA in
Edison.
