Our Christmas

Merry Christmas! Our Christmas was very traditional. We
spent Christmas Eve in Sea Girt at the Lowry house.
Everyone cooked, we ate too much, and Santa came at the end
of the night. All of the kids loved Santa - well, everyone
except Jack. I find it really odd that Jack cries with
Santa considering he is such a calm and relaxed kid. He can
handle the ER no problem but give him a mad in a puffy red
suit and Jack is frantic. Strange. Christmas morning we
opened gifts at home then headed next door for more and more
and more gifts. Later that day we hosted Christmas dinner
at our house. It was a fantastic Christmas celebration!

Adelina's Art Show

Adelina takes an art class once a week and talks about it
the other six days of the week. She really loves it but I
wasn't sure she was really learning anything. Is that mean?
Well, I was wrong. We went to her Art Show on 12/23, and we
were all very impressed with the class' art. Each student
had a gallery wall and then a showcase canvas. They were
great pieces, and Adelina's really impressed us. Maybe we
have a blooming artist on our hands :)

Early Christmas with Miss Jenn

Cleary Santa stopped at Miss Jenn's early this year because
there were a TON of gifts at our exchange today. WOW.
Jack's bag of treats clearly weighed more than he did! The
girls were so happy to get a horse and bed for their
American Girl dolls. Found Joseph riding the horse at one
point, but we'll try to forget about that. Thank you Miss
Jenn. You wow-ed us again!

Christmas Cookie Swap

Another great Christmas Cookie Swap is over. It was a
really fun night. We had 10 types of cookies and about 15
attendees - including our honorary judges Patch, Taylor,
Adelina and Isabelle. Danielle LaConti was the big winner
with a fabulous White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookie. Yum!
The gals want to find a trophy or plaque to pass down each
year so I better get on it :) Merry Christmas!

Christmas Tree cookies

We had a great time making Christmas Tree cookies last night
with Aunt Geneen. The girls made green, red, and yellow
sugar cookie dough. Aunt Geneen cut out the trees and then
Adelina, Isabelle, Johana and Joseph decorated them with the
red and yellow dough. So cute! Merry Christmas!

First Christmas Exchange of 2010

We had a nice Christmas visit with baby JJ tonight. It was
our first Christmas Exchange of the year. Considering the
drama of my four crazy kids alone and then add in some loud
holiday music, a small little baby, and Roxie the dog, this
picture actually isn't half bad. It isn't great but they
are all in the picture - that's what counts, right? Merry
Christmas!

What a day! Santa Train in the AM and the Girl Scouts
Holiday Party in the afternoon. Adelina and Isabelle had an

Santa Train Ride

Thanks to Michelle for organizing our Santa Train ride. Our
group of 32 (yes, 32) jingled and jangled the whole time.
Joseph really loved being on the train but wanted to sit
with Gary - not me. "Joseph, why don't you come sit with
Mommy?" I asked. Joseph replied with a smirk "Mom, because
them's gots boys up there!" Joseph must have had his fill
of headbands and tutus.

One Thomas Bed and a Zoo

Had to capture Joseph at nap time today. He was asleep in
his Thomas Bed with a full zoo. Three baby alligators, one
purple Jup-Jup (from Hi-5), an owl, a teddy bear, a mini
pink piggy, and one jumbo alligator watching over him. So
cute!

Barron Art Center Holiday Train Exhibit

On December 8th each year we visit the Barron Art Center
Holiday Train Exhibit. This year was no different :)
Joseph REALLY loved the train and would have literally
stayed there for hours. There is also a raffle each year
for an official Lionel train set. If anyone is reading
this, we would love to win that one year :)
