Mom-Mom is Wonderful Because...

At what age is it too old to read and copy my daughter's
journal entries? I hope never because I love to read them.
Adelina writes in her journal every night before bed, and
she looks forward to reading them to me in the morning.
Tonight's was especially cute for a 1st grader. I will
translate:

"Mom-Mom is wonderful because she has a pool. When I was 5
years old Mom-Mom bought me a Jeep. Mom-Mom was 27 years
old when she had her first baby. I love Mom-Mom. Mom-Mom
always gives me cereal."

Could it get any sweeter and genuine than that?

Block Party

What a beautiful day for a block party! It was sunny, warm,
and wonderful! Everyone had a great time. The kids enjoyed
lots of games, the ice cream truck, and the fire truck. The
mayor even stopped in for a short visit.

Playtime and a picnic

What a beautiful day! We are really enjoying the sunny, 70
degree days during this time of year. This evening we met
friends at the park for playtime and a picnic. The children
all enjoyed fun on the playground and a big game of
kickball. Clearly the Marinellos had never played before
because our kids didn't know the rules, but they all still
had a fabulous time! Isabelle just got out of the bath and
asked if we could go back tomorrow for some more "ball
kicking game". So cute! For all of the pictures, look on

Beach Pictures

We made an attempt at beach pictures today but I am pretty
sure we struck out. The kids were not cooperating - well,
mostly Isabelle was not cooperating. Jack was fine - ha ha.
Here are a few shots I snapped. These are MUCH better than
when we were with the photographer and my photos, honestly,
aren't good so I have very low expectations for what the
photographer got. Sigh. Oh well. We tried.

Labor Day Fireworks

Labor Day fireworks were a big hit with the kids. We packed
up two cars and headed out to get a spot nice and early. It
paid off! We were able to all sit in our cars (or on Jeep
safety bars) to watch the fireworks. Fantastic! For all of

Danielle's Bridal Shower

Joseph loves his bike!

Joseph has a new found love for his tiny bike! Joseph went
for a walk with Joe and actually rode his tiny bike for two
times around the Stafford Road loop. Some adults can't even
do that :)

First Day of School

Everyone was excited for the first day of school. Adelina
was up at 7:40 which is a record for her for the whole
summer. So far its been a great day. The house is so quiet
is is kinda scary.
