Let's not forget about Joseph

In a week where Jack has taken his spotlight and the girls
have gotten a new "toy" to play with, Joseph seems to have
gotten... well... a little lost in the shuffle. He doesn't
say a whole lot and doesn't really do much new these days,
so I think we've inadvertently forgotten about him for the
past few days. But not today! I was so excited to see
Joseph actually coloring today - with crayons and paper!
Not on the walls or eating the crayons. It was really cute,
and I even got pictures of the little "forgotten" one :)

First Bath

Joe is the king of bath time in our house, and today Jack
got his first. Girls LOVED how it was in the kitchen sink -

Nothing says "welcome" like a cookie!

On his Day 7 Jack met lots more friends. Mike, Lori, Jess,
Eric, Matthew, and Morgan. Although loud and quite crazy,
the kids had a great time. And what better way to celebrate
Jack's arrival than a personalized cookie? Always a big hit
in our house.

Two Hula Girls and a Skunk

Let the Halloween season officially begin! Today was my
father's MGCC Halloween party. The kids were so excited to
dress up for the first time this year. Adelina and Isabelle
were hula girls and Joseph was a skunk (love it!). Baby
Jack has a Jack-o-lantern costume but decided to debut it on
Halloween instead.

Jack: Day 6

Day 6 was a long day for Jack, but it ended with a visit
from all of the Marinellos. Overall things are going well,
but understandably all of the other kids are still adjusting
to Jack, and Joe and I are pretty tired :)

Jack: Day 4

Jack is getting stronger every day. He passed all of his tests and checks to this point. We are just waiting for the little bugger to eat!!! Once he eats (without fussing or refusing it) he can come home! Go Jack Go!

Day 2 for Jack has had a great start! By 2pm they removed
the ventilator and both the breathing and feeding tubes -
woo hoo! He has not eaten yet but we are thinking positive
that he will have a fantastic afternoon.

Jack: Day 1

Day 1 for Jack was quiet in the NICU but he had lots of
visitors including his CRAZY sisters and brother! The kids
LOVED coming to visit in the hospital but were disappointed
not to meet Jack in person. Plenty of time for that in a
few days :)

Baby News!

The Marinello Family has just grown…. again!

("Sergio" in honor of my father)

Weight: 6lb 10oz
Length: 18 ¼ inches

We are all doing great. Jack is in the NICU right now for
observation of his breathing but we expect him to be
released soon.

Grandparents Tea

St. Cecelia's hosted a "Grandparents Tea" this morning. All
of the children's grandparents were invited to the school
for tea, coffee, bagels, etc. Plus all of the kids got to
join them! It was super crowded in the cafeteria but really
cute. Adelina sat with Mom-Mom for snack, and then took her
to see her classroom.

She is 5 going on 15!

Yesterday there was an assembly and prayer service at school
and Adelina was named "Angel of the Month" at school for her
Kindergarten class. She got to stand up in front of the
whole school, etc. Ad was VERY proud, so I told her I would
spend some extra time with her - I was thinking a trip to
the park, outside on the trampoline, maybe ice cream, etc.
Oh no! My 5 year old decided that she needed to go shopping
bc today was school picture day at school, and they were
allowed to wear anything they wanted for pictures. Is she
15? Ad picked an outfit and necklace 100% on her own. I
put my foot down on the matching handbag and headband bc,
quite honestly, why does a 5 year old need yet another
handbag and she must already have 70 headbands. None the
less, this morning she got ready for picture day and OH MY
CUTENESS! She was so stinkin' adorable and looked so grown
up!

Let's Go Knights!

Adelina had her first ever cheerleading competition
yesterday. Totally adorable and fun! Even though it was a
VERY long day, she had a great time. More pics posted under

Getting Ready for Baby #4

I think reality has set in - we are days away from the
arrival of Baby #4. Yippee! Up until now, each of my kids
has a scrapbook of their "first year" - from the time I know
I was expecting until their first birthday. Baby #4 will
also have a book - perhaps a smaller book, but still a
book - ha ha! So far "it" has 3 pages! I'll make up for
that when "it" arrives.
